@73 Peanut reckon I will order the parts and replace with the next service. Guess 12years justifies replacement. Can you recall if KTM had stock of the graphite rings when you ordered?

Have some some searching to do before I commit to a diagnosis, but I noticed an odd noise coming from the reach cylinder…sounds like a leak. Did some reading and there are alot of mentions on the web about the graphite rings that leak where the front and rear pipes join behind the rear...

GM Works replace the bobbins on floating discs….I enquired a while ago about the discs for my 990, about R100/bobbin if I recall… https://www.facebook.com/GMWorksCT

Just had a leaking rusted Suzuki radiator recored at CHE Paarl….about R3k total cost.

Nice trip that, beautiful roads. Apologies for the little hijack Need to go riding there again myself, as we had to turn around with our tails between our legs last time….lesson: check the river level before you head down into the poort. This photo was taken last year November.

Reviving this thread….still have rattling discs🙈 To tap into the wisdom of the forum, could discs off a non-ABS 990 be fitted and made to work with the ABS bike? Read on another platform that the ABS sensor ring can simply be moved over and shimmed.
