Got on the (out of tune) Raider 150 today. Feeling much better, since it's actually a pleasure to ride, even if it's currently just as slow as the Deputy. At least it's got a normal gearbox, brilliant brakes, and doesn't sound like a scooter.
I think I'm just bored with my life, apparently dangerous grounds this. Work has been boring for over 3 years. Finances (and thus recreation) is bad, so no space to move there. Then to top it off I have a boring commute by scooter. Frustration got the better of me and I feel a bit childish at...
It's different when you have a choice of what you want to ride.
I somehow doubt it will be fast enough, although I can be wrong, shark_za? Also, it's still a scooter and at about the same performance as what I have, so why (and at R17.5k no less, almost Djebel 250 price)?
Is it the G-Max 250?
Dual-Sport is what I'm after, and when I buy I'll be looking to (in order of preference) either a BMW G650 xChallenge/xCountry, Suzuki DR-Z 400E/S or Suzuki Djebel 250XC. Anyway, shut up, you're making me feel better.
I have a Suzuki Raider 150, which is not even running at the moment, so I'm commuting on my bro's Honda Deputy 125. It's not the what (since I know what I want), it's the how (since I can't afford to). All I know is something needs to happen soon.
Thanks for the prompt response, but what I'm on about is not the part where I'm on two wheels every day. Its about the scooters themselves. Am I wrong in that getting on a bike / scooter should excite you?
Bigger bikes, like Djebel 250s, DRZ 400s, G 650s or whatever has appeal to them in that...
So, I'm cruising on the highway this morning with a fairly stiff breeze from the side. The scooter doesn't want to go over 90km/h in these conditions. Thoughts about life, the universe and everything keeps me company on days like these. So, up jumps Frustration screaming at me saying "You're not...
Nice. It doesn't look like it in your avatar, but are you saying that yours also has the extra tank at the back? If so, then is there only one extra tank and on the left-hand side?
