A nice touring screen - yes.  Comfort seat?  I've tried a few and really ... just meerkat sometimes and you're sorted (he he)

When the twin was produced at first, it had exactly the same engine as the 800 and a little down tuned.  As far as I know it is still the same engine in the 700 ... And really, it is not the bike, it is the rider GS Jane and I went up the mountains in Lesotho once, passing a lot of 1200s ...

My 2c from a lady rider - buy a bike that will satisfy her for longer.  I HIGHLY recommend a 650 twin.  I did many many kilos even to Namibia together with an 800 and 1200 and no problem keeping up (if your budget allows) but rather suffer now a bit and she will have it for a loooong time

I added the shoulder pads over the straps to prevent scuffing, but they can be slipped off easily
