Can one Adventurise a NC 750 X dct

Another 'don't do it' reason I can give ya. The rims don't recover shape when you hit a moersa rock at speed like I did yesterday. Just racing my mates on a twisty pass as you do, when you're 80 and still waiting to grow up.

    Tyre Pressures PLEASE

You know when an old song keeps recurring in your head and won't go away? Chuck Berry, "Too much monkey business" that's what I keep hearing.

Can one Adventurise a NC 750 X dct

All I can say is you'd need the foot/ankle strength and balance of a ballet dancer to stand up on the pegs whilst on tippy toes. 'Cos I have to ride mine with tiptoes on the pegs sitting down on the tarred roads in order to save my boots! Lack of cornering clearance, that's my only complaint...

    KTM Trouble

Just a minor semantic thing that I may have got wrong. Wasn't that BMW 310 actually a TVS? And didn't BMW just come along and look at the completed Indian machine and say "We want to stick our badge on that and market it?"

Just beautiful bikes - designs, mods and graphics

The GS1000e. I had one, terrific bike. Fast for it's time, superbike in it's day, gave a good account of itself on the track, But look.......... a seat that would pamper your ass from here to Cairo and back!

    Solo picking up weight?

It's no longer a case of lifting fallen motorbikes any more, I think that any fallen bike would defeat me. At 80 it's pitiful what a weakling I've become, and makes me so bloody angry too! At least I no longer have the terror of wheeling my bike backwards out of the garage on to the uneven...

    JUST PLAIN DECENT PEOPLE

You're a ham-fisted twat. I've never done such a stupid thing in my life. Well........ of course, when I say never, I mean................:cautious:

    Norton, what an interesting history

During the early 1970's a bitterly complaining article was written in the British bike press from a J Lucas engineer about how they were being screwed by the manufacturers into producing really cheap and nasty electrics. This because alternative high quality stuff was available at equally low...

    New BMW R12S

Call it retro if you like, but if, as it looks possible, certain maintenance and servicing tasks can be performed easily without an hour or more of stripping, that's what I'd call progressive retro!

    USA Bike Culture - Choppers

As a staunch advocate of open minded acceptance of all tastes may I just say that I hate the fuckin things. 😖

Kove 450 RALLY vs CFMoto 450MT

Having a spare clutch cable installed alongside the existing one is an old idea, but a spare fork leg? Just in case of a leaking seal??

    1 Spoor Avonture DSTV

Got a couple of mates who still have DSTV. Yeah, they say, but Formula one, and Moto GP. Purleez, how boooring! One of them even took me to task for pronouncing his hero's name Bine-der. How was I supposed to know?

    R1150GS A - Rear Disc

I gave one away and then found that the recipient skimmed it and re-used it. Didn't know whether to feel bummed about it, but then I found a good used one.

    Adventure helmets......just an image thing?

Old school I am, and old school I'll remain. I'll never wear a helmet with any kind of peak because Mike and Ago never wore them so that settles it for me. ;)

    1 Spoor Avonture DSTV

Gave DSTV the boot awhile ago. Wasn't worth it, and couldn't afford it. And it may not be much longer until I too, don't have a TV in the house. Doubt that I'll miss it.

    Japanese Bike Culture - Bosozoku

Can't say that I'm necessarily in love with their sense of style, but it's reassuring to see that in Japan they don't all ride the latest technobikes but there are some who still ride older machines. And maybe they even still have some old farts like me still wobbling around.
