Its true, a buddy of mine sold his bws that was stock standard with 54000km on it.  He only replaced a drive belt on it. Those scoots are bullet proof and I am considering buying one new shortly.

Anyone perhaps have a centre stand for a bmw dakar to sell?

Does anybody knows where to buy head set bearings for a dakar. May be someone has the bearings and seal code. And what would a set cost?

My dad's got a v-storm 650. Very nice tourer bike with excelent fuel consumption. I rode it on some gravel roads and it was good. I feel its a good bike, but its only a bike for mild conditions. I just found that the ground clearance is a bit low if you are heavily loaded. But any bike is good...

Don't worry. I keep it simple, if I don't need the boxes I don't need the frames on the bike.

Hi. I decided to my "own-built" boxes and framem. R1800.00 for both boxes and frames. Excluding transport

Here are pics of the pannier frames. I made the frames bigger to fit the box edges,so that it will make the frame lighter but yet stronger. If i had to make the complete frame for soft panniers i would use round bar instead  of the flat section. The size for soft bag panniers frames would be 350...
