    Yamaha T7 - No longer a Concept

Sounds quite... "Revvie" i.e guy seems to be winding it out to get power, so torque high up or is the guy not riding it like he should be I wonder. But yeah really nice bike Looks good as well.

    Noneking's 790R thread

This guy talks about the suspension as well, way above and beyond a 1190, and 1090s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0QbZ_9JXg4

    OK KTM...I get it.

See, I  have raised this time and time and again as a theory or as an "I wonder if...." - yet now you confirmed it this weekend. I'm not sure how or where to raise it but I definitely think it needs to be raised - perhaps in a new thread. But you must be 100% sure. Although, perhaps better to...

Yeah look, I love it. Looks great - i.e I'm a fan of the Dash and Hottentotsgod look and even the bulbous double D's It just looks different and definitely looks te part to me.

:lol8: Yeah the riding I did was everywhere anywhere spur of the moment stuff. :) Even when planning a trip, we generally have a destination but no set ways, or if it was a day ride we would just meet up and go exploring, to see what we could find. Some of the best riding I've ever done wish I...

    OK KTM...I get it.

We are (were)  :-\  3 riders doing our own thing as we preferred to just explore without too much planning - so don't generally keep tabs on what the group-rides do.  As far as I know there is always something going on. Check on Facebook - Eddie2Race they usually post on there. They have a...

Yeah interesting that you also find the Tractionator front not so lekker. In some situations like sand it's great, but others it really is an odd feeling tyre. I would suggest a Tractionator Desert  rear and a D606 front or even a mt21 - the MT21 wont last long though.

Thinking of getting back into biking - best commuter

Between the new KTM and the Husky the new KTM for sure.  Old KTM and Husky - Probably the Husky. But then it will dpend on what you have to pay. Some of the older KTM deals are just too hard to ignore. Get the place you buy it at to fit the Wings, Akra or Remus silencer day 1.  The stock...

Exactly. It's not even a contest imho.

Thinking of getting back into biking - best commuter

Definitely the most sensible. I had the older one and the newer one is even better. I would say great choice except that it might be a bit low when jumping curbs etc. Personally I would go 701/ 690. 790 sounds like Overkill if you are not going to do long trips. It just opens so much doors...

    KTM 690 Rally Build

Agreed with Blauth. Basically the 690/701 with Rade fairing. The +- 13kg will only really be an issue if you want to ride it like a plastic.

690/701 Enduro or SMT Weapons of note in traffic, cuts over pretty much anything in the Enduro version. Sustained 140 easy on engine a bit harder on comfort without screen etc. Or how about a 790?

Look if nothing else - that is one damn sexy bike.

Yeah, but 2014 also get the newer rocker-arm bearings. When you get the old one just change the bearings as a precaution if there is no proof that the ex owner fitted them. Then you should be good :)

Yeah they are great. That one is a 2009 yeah. So it has the 650 engine. We swapped a few places. The difference was interesting. The older one feels like a bigger bike somehow...heavier even though it isnt. It felt a lot less twitchy though More stable - so think thats what makes it feel like a...

I liked the 790 R It's not the pretties bike but it looks fit for what I  was meant to do. The Adventure however.....all wrong. I know it helps the vertically challenge but not so keen on the looks. The new 690 however  :drif: The new one just added that much extra now. So good! Just not so...
