Got rear ended by another bike this morning...

Ah my old commute as well. Glad you are ok - not sure how that guy was not paying attention - not like you stopped dead from speed either, and could see the  bus turning for a while already.

    OK KTM...I get it.

Oh something I forgot to mention, after Buff and Rough Rider commented on the pillion ability, we tried that and yes. No issues whatsoever, in fact it was a blast.  I would say it was a really fun pillioning experience for both. It's obviously not a bike you want to pillion for big trips with it...

Indian has a Rally version of the FTR1200

Yeah I'd agree that it's aimed at the RnineT market. Those exhaust pipes looks like it was stolen of a Monster.

Indian has a Rally version of the FTR1200

Not sure where the "Rally" comes in but looks good. Probably a nice Rally to the local coffee shop perhaps. I like what they did with the frame.

Is it OK to own a Boxer after you've turned 50?

I liked my 1200GS LC - Thirtysomething  :D  Then I became wise and went KTM :D I never got use to the front end. That telelever is awesome under braking...the rest...just feels weird  Don't know how people trust it without "feeling" where the wheel is.  Went and took a mates 1200 RS out and felt...

Motoz Tractionator King of tyres !!!

Ah of course - I was referring to the Motoz Tractionator Desert! But can't complain, rear was excellent - Just the front - I would have liked a more rounded profile I think.

Motoz Tractionator King of tyres !!!

I guess it depends on what one are after when saying what is best. Usually mileage is one of 4 factors for me. Usually a harder tyre performs worse. However, in saying that I really found the Tractionator rear to be fantastic on my 690. The front...I'm still not so sure, it's a strange tyre for...

    Smelly boots?

Bicarb soda helps when it's still a bit moist inside. Throw in bicarb and put it in the sun. It pulls out the odor but you need to throw or vacuum it out. Don't wear the boots with the bicarb in lol. It seemed to work for me to some extent after having a particularly putrid river crossing go...

Have you taken delivery of a KTM 790 Adventure/R yet?

Looked at the Adv and R at KTM CT. I freakin love the R I was surprised how small the bike is. Seat is narrow but obviously tanks and fairing wider. I reckon easy to pick up in a drop, and those pods will keep legs out of the wind. For my kind of riding I'd rather take the new 690 Enduro R, but...
