    That tank is exactly the one I always wanted to put on my XT! I got an Acerbis one from a guy in JHB who swore it was for the XT but when it arrived I discovered it was for a DR500 or something similar and wouldn't fit, couldn't get my money back and ended up giving it to friend for his IT project.

    Hello everyone, After too many years off two wheels I'll be riding again soon. Owned various bikes over the years but the only one I've always missed was my old XT500. Loved doing gravel roads on my thumper! Going to look at a Yamaha XT660R on Saturday which I hope will be my new stead...
