    I've stayed at almost every accommodation place in the kloof. Zandvlakte is great. Lovely owners. If you want something different also look at Speekhout. Their Treehouse is amazing. But so many really nice options. Uitspan also good.

    Took a bit longer than I hoped but I spray outside so had to wait for perfect weather. One of our other Dakars has Wolfman pannier racks imported from the States and I really like them. Much more compact, and in my opinion, nicer looking than any of the alternatives. Not available anymore so...

    Fitted the exhaust. Not quite the sound I was hoping for but better than standard at least. Also did steering head bearings. (Weird design) And started prepping the handlebars to be painted. A mission. Tomorrow I'll start painting the panels. My new/old single spark screen also arrived today...

    I keep an eye out on Facebook marketplace and gumtree and occasionally one pops up. This one is not the optimal F40fx unfortunately. It is a bit longer and comes from the 20th anniversary GSXR750 but the internal design is basically the same for all the variations. I'm going to make it work...

    Haha it is actually an ethnic African fabric. I was trying to see if I could get some kind of African feel without using stickers of wild animals! But I see now it is maybe not so obvious. Zoom in closer.
