    My Syncro Bus

This bus has a lot of potential. Looking forward to seeing it sorted. I had a good look at it when Gerard popped by the other day. Very interesting. I'm convinced this Syncro had a 2.5 installed at product development at VW. VW built at least another two 2.5 Syncros before they decided not to go...

Older DR 600/650 thread (Pre mid 90's)

I'm looking for a rear caliper bracket for a pre 94 DR650. I've got all the parts I need for a rear disc conversion on my DR750, just missing this bracket. Ian

    1981 XT500

No Good I've replied to your email. Provisionally sold. You are going to have to wait a while for the DR Jup! Sad to see the XT go. It's one of those bikes that I think most of us would love to get a chance to restore. Simplicity and legendary!

    1981 XT500

I have had this bike sitting in my garage for about 10 years waiting for time and money to restore it. Just not getting to it so I'm going to pass on the opportunity to someone else. Even though I've hardly used it it always starts with no more than two or three kicks. I've done a few short...

    Suzuki DR (750)

Looks like it can still be repaired. We'll have to get together and look.

    Suzuki DR (750)

I did get that spec from someone, so that I could measure mine. I'll see what I can find. Won't be too hard to repair though.

    Suzuki DR (750)

Here is a close up. But this is how I got it. I didn't need to do any repairs. I measured mine and there was actually very little that had been worn away. I replaced the bearing and it has been working happily ever since.

    Suzuki DR (750)

What are these pieces? One is the rear of the thrust bearing. What is the other one? A washer or the piece that has been broken from the pressure plate?

    Suzuki DR (750)

I can't remember but I think that may be correct like that. When I got mine the bearing had disintegrated and all the rollers had come out and what was left had begun to eat through the pressure plate. Did you not hear any noise on yours?

    Suzuki DR (750)

Ah that looks familiar! I also had to replace that bearing. Got it from Suzuki, no problem, and not too expensive iirc.

Thanks. PM sent. But just to confirm; must be a pre 94 DR650/600. Later dr650's are different.
