What other info did the owner give? How long has he had it and who did he buy it from? Would be nice if that mileage is genuine but that seems very low and going to be almost impossible to verify. Also it's not an 87 model. 88 I think was the first year and that is a later model with rear disc...

Swartberg Pass. Spectacular as always.

We had to take a little detour to Uniondale for fuel. Stunning road. Even if it was tar. The DR ate up the tar sections so that was never a problem anyway.

Checked it out today. About 4700rpm at 120km/h. With a 7500rpm redline that's pretty comfortable. Exceptionally smooth at those revs for a thumper too.

I calculate about 4800rpm in standard trim. I'll find out what it is exactly but it's definitely under 5000rpm at 120km/h.

4000rpm gives just over 100km/h and the motor is just thumping along sweetly. I'm not sure what the revs are at 120km/h but the bike feels pretty happy at that speed. Definitely not stressing the motor.

The first time we had the two bikes next to each other I was surprised at the difference in size between them. And a bit worried about keeping up with such a light and agile looking bike through some of the rougher and trickier sections. Without luggage the difference is even more obvious. But...
