My Sertao with 20 000km has a timing chain noise/rattle during 1st start-up of the day. The tentioner was replaced but it still has the same issue. Are these tentioners known for losing their oil, and with that the pressure?

On my Sertao with 13500km the oil does not remain in the oil tank when the engine is switched off. It will all drain after a few hours. It just had a service at BMW and according to them they have not heard of this issue. They also say that it is not something to worry about. I mentioned to them...

I want to replace the timing chain tensioner. Mine has abs and the pump and pipes look to be in the way. Any tips to do this?

Where will be the best place to take a R1100GS gearbox in Cape Town? It slips out of 2nd gear. Has been repaired by BMW but the problem is back.

Probably blown off trailer or bakkie.

Does anyone have feedback regarding the Motobat batteries?  I bought one on Saturday and when testing it before fitting, I found it to be only at 10.5 volts. Put it on charge for 5 hours (6 amp charger), but it was not taking the charge. Only went up to about 11.5 and then a few hrs later back...
