Howzit, I had a DL1000 V-Strom with this issue I tried most of these tricks but the issues always came back, then I was at Bike hospital the one day and I got a TL1000 clutch and basket which is a slipper clutch with a solid basket, that solved all my issues, if I remember it all fitted...
