Hi all ... I'm busy restoring a 1974 VW Auto Villa ..It has two petrol tanks fitted but at the moment they are joined by a T piece and empty together ..I'm looking for some type of 12 volt solenoid valve to switch them from left to right without running long petrol pipes to the cab and switching...

I don't know for sure but imagine that it would not be a simple conversion.....the whole engine management system would probably be different ..

I did chat to him Friday and he didn't have anything.

Start by cleaning the carb..Specifically the Idle circuit ...pilot jet...check compression...if low.. top end rebuild ..
