We very recently travelled that side and the road between Ladybrand/Fouriesburg not bad at all, even onto Clarens. The section between Ladybrand towards Wepener is shocking (I measured 30kms of potholes so widespread that we were mostly off the tar. Wepener to Rouxville also fine although 2/3...

Interesting Heimer...is the hotel still going strong and a decent overnight stay?

No Petri he has a 950 Adv in the States and not a 950 SE....very different machines!

+1 on the SE 950 Petri, by far the best bike I ever owned. Tell Sen to try find a test ride and he won’t stop grinning!! I’ve told Tristan as well to go that route, it’s a remarkable machine!

Yip a very big difference, DCR pic above is the Side Entry which originates in Kareedouw and ends at Doornkloof...this can be ridden on a big adventure bike

I have ridden it both directions and on a XRL650, would`nt want anything bigger either!
