    Cape Town Bike Rental

I used Cape Bike Travel in 2019. Only issue I had was I didn't know how the fuel guage on the BMW worked (it is a digital one, and seemed to be two parts, but only displayed one part at a time), and after riding from CT to Franschhoek it showed less than half a tank remained. When I told the...

My African Dream - reporting from Haiti

I had some time to kill in Kruger yesterday. The EJET and the ERJ (the one I fly). Such pretty birds.

My African Dream - reporting from Haiti

I saw the most incredible thing on Thursday evening. We were flying towards the setting sun, and as we climbed, and the sun descended, it created the illusion of no movement. No movement of the sun, no movement of the aircraft. It was like the world was suspended in limbo. I took a time...

My African Dream - reporting from Haiti

I've been doing quite a few longer flights lately, and have got back into reading Atomic Habits by James Clear. I like this one on action vs motion. "Motion makes us feel like we're making progress, without running the risk of failure." - James Clear Where motion is constantly planning and...

My African Dream - reporting from Haiti

Got home late last night after having to do extra flights, and I wasn't keen to fly to East London this morning. But the sunrise was well worth the early wake up!

Madagascar is served by the EJets, which have more seats and can go further. I'm on the smaller ERJ (37 and 44 seat models in our fleet). Sometimes they move us from ERJ co pilot to EJET co pilot to ERJ Captain. Sometimes from ERJ co-pilot straight to ERJ Captain. So it's anyone's guess really 😅

Synthetic sheep wool VS The real McCoy

Eish, our seats are covered in something wool-like. I haven't had any issues. But I have heard of bacteria growing in it. Considering our seats don't get washed, and will endure thousands of hours of sweaty backs and bums, it's not surprising. But ja. I get uncomfortable on the 3hr flights...

My African Dream - reporting from Haiti

Last year I hinted at a roadtrip that I had done to Graskop, and promised @TVB that I would do a write-up. Well, I finally did. https://www.theoutbound.com/heather-arnold-2/a-peek-through-god-s-window
