Fitting wider offroad pegs helps a lot for confidence in general. Those OEM rubber pegs are useless.

Yes and yes. After a few years of struggling you get an new original copy of the RC1, pay all the license fees and scrap the vehicle to stop the bleeding.

It normally works but legally it remains your responsibility to hand in that form. You could say that maybe the dealer excepted you to follow process.

Easy to fix or at least it was for me. You go to the license department with your ID and POA (just in case they ask) and request a copy of the RC1. Once you have it you go to the back of the que and complete the documents to deregister the vehicle and hand that in. Issue sorted.

The accountability is with the seller to initiate the transfer of ownership. In this case it should have transferred to dealer stock via the yellow form mentioned earlier. Most transactions does not follow this route but it should. I never hand over the RC1 without a signed transfer of ownership...
