It depends on where you intend to spend most of your time. I have a 2017 1090 and my partner a 2015 1200LC, both owned from new. We mostly ride together and mostly off-road and we like techinical riding. Her GS has given more problems in that time than my 1090. And dont think the GS's dont suck...
