I go up to Phalaborwa atleast once every 2 months. The N1 is much better as far as road conditions but the Dullstroom road is deffinatly more scenic. I went Dullstroom way round over Easter weekend and the road was not to bad. I would not however ride this road at night because of the potholes.

Do you by any chance know what was the cause of those starters you have lying around to get sluggish ? i.e is there any parts that stopped working as they should due to wear and tear ? I think a new starter is in order in my case but dont even want to know what BMW is going to ask for one

Thanks for all the comments. I will go take a second look at all the wires and terminals but as far as what I could see there wasnt any corrosion in that department. What makes no sense to me is that every single time I start it...push the starter button once...goes through about 2 compression...
