Sold Honda XR250 Tornado (KZN) R31000

Man, just a bit outside my range. Trying to find something for ~R20,000 but I think times have changed. Seriously regret selling my 2011 KLR650 for under R20,000 in 2020 before I went travelling :(

Wanted Honda CBX 250 Twister (or some form of wheels for < 20k)

I have just returned to Cape Town and want some wheels. I miss my KLR650, if I can get one of those for a similar price that could be a great option. Also open to suggestions. Even a scooter that could sit comfortably at 100kmph would do for now. I am likely to sell it on in 4 months time.

    [SOLD] 2011 Kawasaki KLR 650 - ±70,818 km

Updated listing. Decided for my own safety I needed new tyres and sprockets, and made a trade exchange with a very mechanically minded friend, with years of dirt and adventure biking experience. This also teaches me a thing or two, as I have been his apprentice in all this. R27,000 negotiable...

    [SOLD] 2011 Kawasaki KLR 650 - ±70,818 km

Do you not see the strikethroughs? The title represents the most uptodate information. I did say no questions were too dumb, are you guys testing that theory?  :laughing4: I joke, I do see how this can be confusing... but I have strikethrough all the redundant information (just ignore it). I...

    [SOLD] 2011 Kawasaki KLR 650 - ±70,818 km

I was confused as to why updating the listing was not bumping the topic up. But it seems I have to reply for it to do so? Sorry for the unnecessary second listing...

    [SOLD] 2011 Kawasaki KLR 650 - ±70,818 km

To summarize, asking price is R28k, given that I have replaced what I have promised in the original listing. Happy to consider offers of R15k + to take it as it comes. Price is negotiable and depends on the feedback I get.

    [SOLD] 2011 Kawasaki KLR 650 - ±70,818 km

Can you not see the following? It's all in there - https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=246542.msg4417539 Is there a permission issue that is preventing you from seeing the original listing?

    [SOLD] 2011 Kawasaki KLR 650 - ±70,818 km

In the meantime it has been in for another service (I will add details upon request). The behaviour mentioned in original post, which I suspected had something to do with fuel delivery, was actually an electrical fault to do with the side stand switch. That has been taken care of, no problems...

Delayed sale due to lockdown. Click here for more information in original listing... I would like to take home a net of R15,000 after all service/upgrades/replacement of parts, etc.

Is a full license required to enter Mozambique?

Thought so. Going to try work on getting full license soon then. For now it's taxi/public-transport as I don't have a car. My idea is that I want to go over there to do my work (remote software development, I work from home) because I am far too bored at home in Kosi Bay, where there are...

Is a full license required to enter Mozambique?

Yeah, probably easier to book some time down in Durban / Empangeni / Richards Bay until I get my full South African license. Then go with it to Mozam. Leaving the country April 2020 anyway. So first prize would be if I am allowed in to Mozam with SA learners license (Not sure what to Google to...

Is a full license required to enter Mozambique?

I am pretty sure I know the answer to that, but it would be a nice surprise if I didn't need one! I live in Kosi Bay (30-40km South of Ponta Do Oura, Mozambique) and have my bike with me (and a learner's license). Wondering if anyone around here knows how to find the closest motorbike testing...

Route from Johannesburg to Kosi Bay [depart 28/03/2019]

I went the direct route, as the commute was the primary goal. Think it was N17 out of Joburg, then N2 down to near Jozini, then P522 all the way to my house (which is also alongside P522, near Manguzi)

Route from Johannesburg to Kosi Bay [depart 28/03/2019]

For future reference... Did the trip the last two days. Was incredible. Johannesburg to Piet Retief was pleasant but nothing mind blowing. The last hour before Piet Retief it got dark (this was accidental) so I could have missed some scenery. I slept over there. The next morning was...

Route from Johannesburg to Kosi Bay [depart 28/03/2019]

I am hopeful for company, but a solo trip would be great too. Does anyone know any more interesting routes there? Originally I was going to leave from Cape Town, but I ran out of time to prepare camping equipment, and 6 or so nights of non-camping accommodation would have killed my budget. I...

Yeah, to be honest I don't expect anyone. But you never know! Thinking a solo trip would be good.

    CPT - Worcester - BeaufortW - Colesberg - Bloem - Ladysmith - Pongola - KosiBay

Hi, I am returning to my home of 2019 (Manguzi) sometime next week or the week after (sometime between 22 and 29 March). I am pretty flexible about when I leave because I work remotely as a programmer, so all I need is a laptop and an internet connection, so can continue to work in Cape Town...
