New Harley. Dont know battery capacity. Optimate 5 @ 2.8 amps or Optimate 3 @ .8 amps help

So is there a negative in having a bigger one, like 3amp; for continuous charging?

Non brand specific. So all these chargers range from 1 Amp to 3 Amp and higher. For keeping a battery "conditioned" , is there any reason to go higher than 1 Amp? Any other things to consider?
