Thanks for all the opinios. I am also leaning towards the Rally. I stay in orapa so trafic is not a problem and there is a lot of bush roads to explore. Do you guys think the 250 will have enough power for sand riding?

Hi, which is the best option to go for? A new CRF 250 rally for R90K or a 7.5/10 2008 690 KTM for R50 000? This will be my first bike and I will be using it to drive to work (10km a day) and then to explore the bush.

Is there no one on the forum that has one of these bikes? Who is buying them? No extras...  Even the new Navara has extras available...

So now it is between the XT660R, XR650L and CRF250Rally We are sort of making progress. How difficult is it to work on these things? Google and youtube is your friend and all. How is the situation on availabilty of parts on the 660 and 650?

Is there a way to calm the performance of these bikes down. Less chaos when whisky throttle take over?

You must crawl before you can walk. It is just so damn expensive to first crawl and then walk. At the price these things go I will be crawling for years... Yet crawling is better than dead I suppose...

I have no worries about the quality of the product, it is the after sales service and parts availability that I am concerned about. Is this something I should be worries about?

Hi, I am in the market for a bike. Looking at the 701 or KTM 690. KTM has got limited dealers in SA/Africa and Husky has even less. I am not strong when it comes to swinging spanners and setting up suspensions. Is Husky a safe bet and how does the future looks for the brands?
