we stayed there last year. Very run down, but was a good spot for an overnight on a bike ride. Pity if it has closed down. Look up the Africa ivory route they seem to do the admin for it... hmm seems the website is dead too.

Cuito and area are sometimes a little hostile to us Saffas, especially age groups 50 - 60. Given our past, i am not too surprised, but just a heads up, Not reason enough to not go, but the reception is a little colder the further into the Hot areas you go.

Lekker tips nice and direct and some of those pot holes i have already driven through. Others from this list i might be able to miss.

You can ride Angola, its just the beach area and Iona park that are going to be off limits. There is still a million reasons to go and ride there even with these restrictions in place.

Longbob are you willing to share the route please? Esp the way you went from Mourusi to Rhodes?

Awesome ride there guys.  Appreciate the riding, BUT more impressive is that you still took peechas when the shit was hitting the fan!  That is typically the first action that gets abandoned, so thanks for taking that extra effort for us all.
