Have you tried KTM/Husqvarna, I bought mine from the dealer. I have a 901 but the dash is the same shape and size as the 23 onwards 890's. Locomoto is another option.

What size are they? I think I have some spare XT500 ones if they are the same size.

Don’t recall the torque settings but that sounds about right. You still need to make sure the gap between front and back is even when torquing though.

I have a set on my bike, they do make a small difference with the vibration and add quite a bit of flex to the handlebars. It's very important to get the gaps right when installing them.

On the open road with luggage your fuel consumption will be worse than around town. Wind plays a big factor with fuel consumption and after 100kmh it becomes exponentially worse. Have not checked your ride report yet but I'm looking forward to reading though it since I've done some of the same...

I always check everything the bike shop touches when I get my bike back. Trust no one. Suspension settings are a personal thing and easy to adjust so I wouldn't expect a bike shop to do them unless it was a shop that specialized in suspension. It does help that I have a technical background...

:oops: You would copy some one's design? 🤪 Just kidding, I suspect they would be very easy to make. The only thing that needs any real design and machining is the brackets that go between the plates and the tubes that extend from the bike.

It's probably just the photo but man it looks wide from the back, maybe that's why there are so many E's on the back as in Abnormal E. 🤪 I think your rack less idea is probably the way to go, you should also be able to run the bags a bit lower too.

It sucks to damage a brand-new tire but it's even worse damaging your rim. Those are some big smileys.

How did the tire perform? They do seem hard to find and look very similar to the STR version. I've usually fitted Mitas MT-07+ to my bikes but I must say I have been pleasantly surprised by the Rally STR's that came on the 901. I think I may like the non STR version to try myself.
