As an old rider on an old-school thumper you “feel” that sweet spot - and that zone is when the engine is happily cool enough. You don’t own a DR or XR 650l to go “highway speeds”. They love the 90-105 kmh arena, and if the rider has the appropriate mentality, they do too .
