River is hip high and can be crossed with pont. Had a few guys coming over this week.

Howdy folks River crossing is just above ankle deep. Water is warm and there are still some great swimming pools further up and down stream of the crossing..

So I think it’s a safer bet to go the round route at this stage, we aren’t on the farm and it would be a long trip if you can’t cross the river. Best regards

Yes, you can reach our farm from Calvinia. Biedouw Valley is where we are. Be sure to carry water. Hot in the afternoons here. Look forward to meeting you

Hey guys, I don’t wanna throw a spanner in the works of your ride. We have had a very late rain fall this year and the river levels may be quite high at that stage. Our farm is on the Doring River in the Biedouw Valley and currently we are landlocked on the farm. I will try keep you all posted...

Hi all The Doring river is in full flow and pushing hard currently, and uncrossable. It’s about mid chest deep and the cable across the river is underwater. However is awesome to have water back on the farm after a grueling and scorcher of a summer. I’ll try post some photos after this thread.
