    Locally Crafted Exhaust

@ZK1, I really hope he can assist. It seems that they need to entire bike in the workshop to make it, which is near impossible if you’re nowhere close to them. But, he’s said he’ll see what he can do.

    Locally Crafted Exhaust

Are there any Saffa’s that make exhaust pipes, specifically for 1200/ADV’s, before I set-off on the big market brands and spend money I don’t have right now 😣

Always tighten and torque nuts and bolts when working on your bike.

Hi @BiG DoM; I’ve actually written a thread about torque values, as I am looking for correct Nm’s across the entire bike. The Owner’s Manual doesn’t give much. Do you have a document that provides correct torque specs on all/ most parts of the bike?!

    Torque Values

Hey @Welsh, thanks for that. 105Nm for rear wheel bolts? Flippit, I will have to do some digging to get the correct values!

    Torque Values

Hey everyone, Just wondered if there isn’t a document that gives all of the torque values, in different areas of the motorcycle. For instance, having removed the pannier frame, exhaust clamps and rear wheel; when replacing those, they need to be tightened to a specific torque. I know the...

    ESA … Problem?

Just spoke to the previous owner. He never changed settings or rode it in any other settings; so possibly the seal got old and perished. It’s a 2010 model with less than 30’000km’s on the clock, so quite possible. The oil itself looks dark on the concrete floor, which is a bit muddy as well, but...

    ESA … Problem?

Hi everyone, So today I’ve followed the advice of WD’s on how to set the ride mode depending on what I want to do. For interest sake, I set it to SPORT mode and chose the small mountain symbol, and felt the ESA adjusting itself. Once I switched off my bike, engaged the kickstand and got off...

Thanks you @Manic; which flippen button do I push for the helmet [riders] to get to the small/big mountain?

    Rider Settings. - 2010 Adventure

Hey everyone; I’ve recently acquired my 1st adventure motorcycle [2nd hand], and even though having read the Rider’s Manual, it doesn’t really go in depth, into the settings for a rider. There are 3: Normal, Comfy & Sport. Which option is best for short tarmac trips, long tarmac trips &...

    Motorradical ... has become Motormoderate

A while back I posted about my experience with an adventure accessories company - Motorradical. In my post, I briefly described my experience of ordering an adventure bash-plate and why I felt it necessary to do a small write-up. Some of you seem to have experienced the same or something...

After market exhausts - what's best and what's out there?

So there is no adjustment of the front fender required? Did you use an OEM wheel from another GS which matches the 1200? What about the bearings and seals; do they need to change because the axle size is different between bike models.

After market exhausts - what's best and what's out there?

Hi @WillemInsit $; being very new to adventure riding I did not know that it is possible to replace the GS’s 19” front wheel with a 21”. What process is involved in applying this modification?
