the spring sound is unusual. clunks, donks and crunches are normal. the story i remember is that the gearbox internals aren't nicely lined up at standstill and with age the tolerances are slightly off. when the spinning input shaft tries to engage the box internals then there is a clunk, donk...

hose is 75mm TOO short. does that help? got a new hose today and will fit them this weekend. perhaps we could make up a spec for replacement hoses with the correct lengths and angles and things for future reference. i got a pm that indicates someone else can't measure either. 8)

but you might be able to re-animate it (have you seen the movie "re-animator", very good). 8) you mentioned that the plugs are new. try swapping them out with the old ones. sometimes new things fail early in their life cycle. :thumleft:

my tale of woe continues. I took the front hoses to Eden Machined Hydraulics and Sean made me a nice pair of hoses to run from the master to each caliper. I was so excited to get home and put them on. Long story short is that I measure like some people polish. One hose is perfect and the other...

after 13 years of abuse and negligence my servo brakes stopped. or didn't as the case may be :P. so i've bypassed it and am sort of satisfied with the results. now i would like to tidy up the plumbing. a local hydraulic place weren't keen because of the pipe size. anybody know where i can get...

I've been unable to ride my 1150ADV for just over a year and now the brake servo pump has shit the bed. >:( I've bled it and got the back brake to work but the front only operates on residual braking. I also cleaned the filters but it still refuses to pump to the front calipers. Guess who is...
