@ Cracker...this behavior had me perplexed but I the only version I can thing, is that exactly that, the residual pressure held it in. The only other thing I did was take out the front cyl cam chain tensioner to see if I had a brain fart and installed it wrong, which wasnt the case.

I see the 950.info site suggests tapping into the "bolt" that plugs the cam chain tensioner port, but that is a for a permanent install. not a test plug.
