Rossi - the manual states only stationary - so I am not sure, seems to be a common problem, I suspect the air compressor thingymabob might not be strong enough to lift a load.. I dunno - bmw can do this fully loaded with pax, whilst driving. ill let you know what the outcome is from my issue...

what Deon said. my bike is currently in the shop for this exact reason. apparently.. the bike needs to be unloaded and on the centre stand. The manual merely states "bike should be stationary" .

reviving this thread - in a similar position as the OP @StephanK what did you get in the end? I have scorpion trail II, and looking for some extra grip on gravel,without sacrificing road performance. Pirelli STR has excellent reviews, but it is a 50/50 tyre... so that must be sacrificing a lot...

so as a side note, I bought a genuine leather belt from a toppie - he told me, kiwi shoe polish. gentle application and rub it in properly. the belt has lasted with its stitching for probably 15 years.. the buckle looks kak but the leather is perfect. so an option to try? (just don't wax it...
