I always use the key, only use the kill switch when I moer down and need to kill the engine. I know of some people who used the kill switch and then forgot about the key, then they have a flat battery....

Absolutely!! This is the best soft luggage system that you can get in SA. Pricey, but worth every penny! It is modular, so you can expand, extend, remove as your needs and bikes change over time.

Anything that has to do with a tourist is USD.....always..... :cool: And they very rearely have change..... But you should be able to swipe your card at most places in VicFalls, it is pretty modern, by some African countries's standards!

I did this trip (Lusaka to Pretoria and back) a number of times when living in Zambia, both in cars and on bikes. Some good advice above. I agree, do not bother to go into Zambia. Get to Kasane, then go into Zim at Kasane, then it is about 60km decent tar to Vic Falls. Stay at Shoestrings...
