I would guess that as long as you don't boost over 0.7-0.8 bar you should be okay. Obviously you need to check if the internals can cope with the extra load. Conrods, pistons and head bolts. Remember, it just takes an oopsie like the dump valve not opening in time to get a boost spike to destroy...

That is a matter of opinion  ;) ... especially when you consider the engineering and mods to the engine crankcase to get the drive off the crank... but it is doable. I personally prefer superchargers over turbos because of the linear power delivery, but both have pro's and cons. If you look at...

No, I haven't done this... yet  ;) ... but this may assist you. Lots of info on the web as well. Size of turbo depends on volume of air that you need to fill a cylinder and to what pressure. Smaller turbos spool up quicker, therefore you have less turbo lag. Engine mods: depending on boost...

Did they tension the chain for you? A tight chain may snap as the suspension compresses. 10k kms is nothing for a chain, especially on a 650... unless the master link came off. What is the make and type of chain used? What type of master link?
