Oil bypass valve spring tired? Known 950 issue. Occasional noisy cam chains? Maybe the tensioners weren't pumping up due to low oil pressure. As for the copper washer, check the spares manual. It either should be there or someone has been fiddling before you got the bike.

Be very careful what you buy. I bought a perfect copy, made in China, just as good as OEM, they said. Well, it wasn't .............................. It allowed me to travel 2 days away from home before letting the smoke out. And it let lots out, I thought I was gonna be buying a new bike...

My bike has the mod but it was before my time. I was under the impression that it was for mud problems. Although, I've been in mud that jammed the front wheel solid, against the forks ....... a nightmare escaping from that shit. The only way to sell a 950, is to have the replacement already.

What is synthetic fuel made of? Is this stuff good enough to stop our reliance on oil AND slow the march to boring EV .....
