Unfortunately not, but I am holding thumbs that the politicians will realise their error, or Starlink will find a loophole. “An Individual Licensee must have a minimum of 30% of its ownership equity held by black people, determined using the flow through principle,”...

Just sad that RSA will not get access to SpaceX's satellite internet.  ICASA ruled that Starlink does not satisfy the BBBEE requirements to get a broadcasting license (hopefully some smart kid (Elon Junior ???) will figure out a way to connect to Starlink using VPN or something smart) :xxbah...

Life in America - We made the move.

Many years ago I had a neighbour known for having drunk parties late at night, disturbing the civilized hood. One such evening, well after midnight, I walked over in my PJ's to politely request an end to the day. When I got to the house, all doors was standing wide open. I walked inside (music...

Not sure if you have something like local By-laws in USA, but it might be worth a look to see if it says anything about unroadworthy vehicles being left on public roads or public spaces.  In SA there is a time limit after which the owner can be held liable for removal costs (speaking under...

I don't trust those heart rate zones, mine is constantly in zone 5, and I run a marathon at that pace  Adjust the zones where you feel your max effort should be (even if it means you need to adjust your age to 100)

So square  :thumleft: Makes my heart happy This is why I read Zogg with my morning coffee +1 for hot dip galvanizing, the benefit of buying old stuff is 1. you can still work on them, and 2. with some love they are as good as new.

Call it Karma, call it Sowing and Reaping. Bottom line, you guys have been giving into others (time / effort) and the big wheel returns the kindness  :thumleft: We should all live by the universal principle.

SOLO trip: Cape Town to Kigali (Rwanda)

I agree with Chris, you may want to reconsider your route through Namibia. You need to find the sweet spot between covering kilometers, and seeing places. If you plan on staying at Ndhuvo Safari lodge, also investigate Ngepi camp, good prices and facilities.  The road after the Caprivi, in the...

Where did you ride on the model miniature steam train? Look forward to seeing what you can create with all those bicycle parts...  Next time you are at a bike shop, ask them if they have any broke shocks that they are throwing out, some interesting bits inside which your creative mind might turn...
