The most produced and true "dual" motorcycles must be the Honda C90 Trail (Posties)....... It's the only motorcycle that had a Hi-Lo ratio gearbox. This engine design was used by Honda to produce in excess of 100million units...... Just saying. (y)

I'm talking under correction here, but have heard that the one engine mounting bolt need to be removed to angle the motor, in order to remove the tappet covers? :unsure:

300 CRF Rally spins at 7000rpm at 120.... Red line is 10 500rpm,so only at around 72% of available "safe" revs

I can cruise happily at 110 & 120kph on my CRF 300 Rally.... No issues. The "modern" singles rev much higher than the thumpers of old.. Fuel consumption 32km/L. ......just saying....

Hi G.... Transalps will always be a bit "rattly" on cold start-up.... I did 197 000km on my 650 which I had for 18 years..... Never had an issue. I think it is the clutch springs which rattle until the motor is at operating temperature. Does the noise go away if you pull the clutch lever in?
