I have read elsewhere that the Triumph 1050 speed triple uses the exact same stepper motor that you can buy separately. Can someone confirm please?

I think this is in fact what KTM bypassed, the stepper motor. You can't get them separately from the throttle body?

Took the pampoen for a very gentle ride to the butcher today. Must say engine very smooth with that fresh extra oil.

Thanks, it was'nt much quantity wise because I used an already open bottle with probably half left. Going to take ride to the shops but will take it easy. Unfortunately I don't have syringe. Going to the pharmacy to buy just that would look a bit fishy.

Hi Guys, I have overfilled the oil in my 990 with about 1 cm above the MAX mark on the dipstick. Any cause for concern as I really don't want to have to drain the oil? I have not ridden it since. Was planning to do a trip to the shops.

The problem with mine is that it is intermettant. I rode the bike just now and not even a drop. I wonder if I should close the tap on the left hand side?

It leaks on the left hand side of the bike. Won't harm to actually have a look exactly where it comes from. Where can one get these special clamps other than Amazon?

I have an intermittent fuel leak on startup. When I get to work about 10 km's from where I live, the leak has stopped. Any suggestions? Can't handle KTM dealership in these hard times :-\

How long did it take you?

My 990 adv started dripping oil at 70 000 km on the clock. Is this a normal issue at this stage of the engine milage?

Is it necessary to torque the head bearing after 500 km or so of riding after replacement?

Was there last weekend. It was fine although a lot of potholes from the water at some sections when you come in from Ceres side.

Just want to know whether the roads are muddy in Cederberg this time of the year? Excuse me if it sounds like a stupid question to some but I haven't ever been there this time of the year.
