I got gifted a muisvoel this morning from our tripod cat. She was clearly very proud of herself for catching it, as she parked it right in the bed where I politely sat on it as I got up.

From my experience (and our collie isn't trained at all), they are designed to follow their owner. Ours, no matter how far she has strayed when out, always checks up on me and looks back when she is in front of me. She is so obedient on call backs or whistles that she stopped dead in her tracks...
