    Selling : 2001 Yamaha XT600e

Hi all, Sadly its time to sell my XT, the only reason being I've emigrated. She is currently living at at Motoworx in Cape Town as I had a full service and a few extras done before I left and Donald has been nice enough house her whilst I try sell. She has a fair bit of mileage on her but runs...

    XT600e carb cleaning

I cant fault that, after 30000km in 1 3/4 years the most she has ever cost me in one go is the service when I bought her and the two new tires I put on today :P

    XT600e carb cleaning

Thanks lecap. Luckily it was not the carb, of all things it was a loose battery terminal, the last thing any research suggested :) but realized immediately riding it at night and watching my lights go crazy. side panel off, quick turn of the screw and all is well...hope its always that easy ;)

    XT600e carb cleaning

Hi guys, For someone who is not that mechanically minded (but I'm here asking to learn) - how much trouble am I getting myself into wanting to give my carb a clean? Reason for wanting to clean it is on friday my XT starting doing very seldom very random "stutters", literally like a half second...

As I said before, good friend has more important fatherly duties to attend to - and it was you that put me up to asking cause I remember you telling me your Heidi was a 140 squashed on. Thanks for the info guys, will try "somehow" to sneak to trac mac or somewhere close to sea point during...

EDIT: squash on 140/80 heidi & "afterhours fitting"

Hi all, Bit of education please, I got a Heidi 140/80 from the Wes, pretty much new compared to my current slick. Only thing is my current tyre is a 130/80. My back wheel is a 2.5. Is there any chance the heidi can be crammed on there? Even if downsides might be something like reduced life on...

    soulforge down

Hey guys, I'm all good...well ya. Nothing broken, just been told to keep it easy after the flying lesson. Left legs a bit eina and rest of me just tender, just gotta watch out for my heel/ankle as it was a bit off feeling when I stood up (didnt notice when I was originally strapped down and...

12 June (tomorrow) quarry trails then to zone 7

Meh, whats a bit of plastic when you are having a good time, if anything my bike "looks" meaner now with them off. Was an absolute blast, I expected it to be a lot harder with my slick on the back, can't wait to try it again with a new tire.

    09'Thor Quadrant Boots

Bought myself a pair, first boots I've ever owned so can't really compare long term to anything else. I find them damn comfy and they feel fairly tough. For commuting and the bit of fun I'm doing offroad they seem fine, wouldn't know for anything more intensive like MX. Tried the shift on before...

Hey guys, Will anyone be taking tar back to cape town from Darling? Karl might be staying home to look after a sick wife and I was going to head back with him, not so keen to do that distance alone.

WC Noob & Pillion Ride - Sun 27th Dec

If there is room for another I'm in, managed to convince the wife 2 weekends in a row is not a bad thing (by organising with grandparents to look after my daughter so my wife can have some time off).

Friends, family and noobs ride to Riebeeck Kasteel, Soulforge buys a plot

WANT TO GO AGAIN! so I can tame that damned corner... Granted when the adrenaline wore off that night the war wounds started to sting somewhat but the only thing that stressed me was the wifes response to dinged bike, which I found out her opinion was "its an offroad bike, I was expecting...
