Finally, I pulled in by @funduro and checked the valves, all 8 were within a ball hair of tolerance except for 1 valve on the exhaust of Piston 1 was slightly tight. Funduro is a perfectionist and adjusted all 8 anyways to within his 0,000000001 of a ball hair tolerance level.

Nice route. Oasis always has fuel for bikes. Otherwise, fill up some old 1.5l Coke bottles for fuel, they are tough and work very well.

If you're heading to Gannaga Lodge ask them ahead of time if you can buy a 5l or 10l petrol from them. Most farms have petrol for the farm bikes/quads etc. I have often refueled at the places I stay overnight in Tankwa area

I sold my NC750X DCT on around 150 000km to @funduro who also bought an NC750X DCT in 2015, that one has over 200 000km on the clock and the one I sold him is nearing that mileage as well. Motors have never been opened

The Twister was the same, checked while under warranty until 30 000km and then next at around 130 000km (Cannot remember the exact mileage)

Once on the NC750 and now it has been just over 100 000km on the NC700 so it needs checking soon

I check mine every 100 000km. Didn't even need adjusting last time
