    Power loss at full throttel

    I deserve the cyber flog. KLR battled to rev properly when throttle twisted. Turned out to be a dusty filter, which was clogged due to 700km Molopo river bed ride. Cleant it and bike running smoothly again. It's the little things in life that make a big difference. Lesson learnt!

    KLR 650

    Got a Jardine slip-on from dem Yanks(USA) on my 08 KLR. Performs way better than standard. So much so that I dont wanna go back to standard zorst. Re-jetted also. Loud, not too much, 96dB if your want to pull out a measuring tape, nice grunt!

    Thanks lecap - I'll check out the air filter. Bike has not been washed in a while - mud from 3 previous rides needs to be washed off.

    '08 KLR - smoking at startup

    Gents, perhaps you could enlighten me - my KLR has started smoking in the mornings, from first start, with choke on, and this stops after a minute or two. I have Jardine (from USofA) exhaust fitted, and engine jetted. Smells of fuel? Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks, Nandos
