How far down the length of the bolt hole does it go? Is it fairly common on the 1200?

I don't know if its just dirt or what but I would check the hub out

Could be an out of round front wheel. Playing with rear preload can also help if it's a suspension setup issue

Thanks Blikkies1, It is a fun project, It is my bike from when a was a lighty, been sitting in a corner in a garage untouched for 20 years and time for some love. The bike had a heat seize and there is some light scoring in the cylinder. It's not a nikasil barrel though so need to have it...

Hi Dogs, Googling has not brought up a whole lot. I am rebuilding a TZR 125 and need to rebore the cylinder. Does anyone know a place in Randburg or surrounds that does it? Found a place near town that does it but would prefer not to drive if possible. I did one in Randburg about 9 years ago...

I too eventually got it out with a chisel and hammer and a lot of swear words. There is an updated version from BMW that uses a hex key rather than the socket. Much better way to go. Making sure the engine is nice and hot when beginning to remove it also works much better  :thumleft:
