Okay, not necessarily Pooratech, but surely a cost saver. The standard Trax pannier base plate is a bit crap.  Mine  broke completely due to vibrations on the Tenere... Good Vibrations...  I decided to design my own out of 4.5 Alu.

It could be that your chain needs replacing yes.  When the bike is on the center stand the chain runs on the swingarm chian guard and on the bottom chain roller, so with a dry chain and an old chain it tends to make a weird noise.  always change both sprockets with the chain.  Im doing mine...

That sound might be rear wheel bearings being "Sat".  If it is a "clack clack clack" noise it is bearings.

:laughing4: i come from worcester and the cross winds (ruk winde) usually pumps on the N1, normal constant crosswinds are easy, it is those rukwinde that you need to be carefull for...  One time i nearly kaked myself.  crosswinds on the N1 before Rawsenville close to 60km/h on a wet tar road...

The TD6 are similar to the ones i have. Bought from Yamaha.

Try Helderberg yamaha.  i have a set that was not overly expensive.  think i paid R200 or something, but i can be wrong... two caribeeners with a loop at one end that goes around the bike with also a good press buckle to tighten it down. 

A cheap tire with good grip is the T63 - but with crappy Km's.  More expensive tire with good grip - TKC twinduro - OK km's Good allrounder - Mitas E-07, E-09 or E-10 

Outdoor warehouse.  we have a 3 man tent from 360 degrees cant remember the name.  It folds nice and compact and weighs 2.2kg.  Been camping in it regularly for about 4 years and no problems
