Hi guys, can somebody give me some advice please
I bought new front brake pads for my 1150 GS, ferrodo (spelling?) platinums, took out the old ones and inserted the new oukies.
I first installed the new pads on the one side no problem and then when I tried to put the other pair on the other side I struggled a lot, I couldn't push all 4 pistons back, I can push them almost all the way back but the one piston shoots back out ( there are 4 pistons in the caliper).
So I pushed back the pistons as far as they could go and then put the new pads in but then cant get them on the disk, no space ( because the damn pistons wouldn't go back far enough. ???
So then I thought I'll put one of the old pads in with the new one just to get the new pad to wear a bit from riding a short while then I'll install the other new pad, did that and still struggled to get the caliper over the disk had to use some force, but eventually got it over the disk, I took it for a spin after pumping the brakes some bit and felt, something is not lekker, when I got back I tried to spin the wheel and it can't spin, It seems as if the pads are clamping to tight against the disk as if the front brake is applied, so the wheel can't spin.
This is the first time I got this problem, I have changed my car and suzuki RM's brake pads a lot but this is the first time I found this problem.
I opened the reservior covers, but not whislt installing the first pair, when I couldn't get the second pair to fit because of the pistons that couldn't push back I opened the reservoir covers.
What to do? I am stumped ? ???
