Hi Guys,
I have a 2002 1150GS with 13400kms on the clock, and occasionally , I have this little issue that is really irritating. I know that similar issues have been reported is the past where the selector drum is neither engaged or Disengaged. I never had this issue on my previous 1150GS, so I know it's not "Normal".
Anyways, the issue is this, Sometimes when changing from 2nd to 3rd gear, the gear doesn't engage. This isn't always the case. I have been trying to replicate it, but it's occasional. To engage 3rd, I can gear down to 1st then back up to 3rd, which basically aligns the gear selector fork. I have also tried shifting slower. What does this mean though, is the Gear Selector Fork worn (I doubt this is it's 13000kms old)? Is the Selector Lever not sitting correctly?
Has anyone else experienced this, and what was there fix to the problem?
