I' not sure if my searching skills are just lacking, but I could only find one thread on this topic from advrider, but there's still one or two things I'm not sure about.
I have some play on my rear wheel, which to me means bearing is starting to see it's "gat". Do I only replace the "big" output shaft bearing, or do I need to replace the small tapered roller bearing as well? The bike's on 57200km now.
Has anybody replaced their own bearings, and how should I go about it...
Then also, I found the following from another thread (BMW parts vs "Midas parts) as posted by Welsh. This is the non-bmw part# for the bearings. Are these available at Midas, and roughly how much do they cost?
big bearing from output shaft (wheel side) 33.12-1 242 210: 85 x 120 x 18
small bearing from output shaft (side cas side) 33.12-1 451 188: 25 x 52 x 16.25
