OK so finally the insurance job is being done on my HP2 engine casing that was holed by the bashplate on our Lesotho trip last year (successfully patched with Pratleys steel epoxy for rest of trip and since) ... ja alsmost R50K claim

Now I get a call ... well your clutch has only a few mm wear left and would make sense to do it at the same time as will save labour later etc. etc. (bike has 20 000km) ... qoute R7.5K !!! (and of this labour is only about R150)  Faaark me this seems excessive - plate is R3250, housing etc makes up these rest (not seen the detail yet).
:eek7: :eek7: :eek7: :eek7: :eek7: :eek7: :eek7: :eek7:

OK so I know it is a good time to do it while engine split etc but what are the alternatives? Have the plate refaced? Fit a ceramic plate which I believe are made here in SA? Bite the BMW bullet with jumbo jar KY while bending  ??? HELP ME decide please.
