1200 GS worth spending on an '07

Hi everyone, well I'm in the market for a 1200 (even with engines destructing at will) and want to know if there is any benefit in spending the extra cash on an '07 model.

I have found some older models, like '05's and '06's with low km and some decent extras. So just need an opinion on this. In light of the thread on the software upgrade, any issues there that could bite me.

Any useful information welcome.
