Bike
AJS (all models)
Lads, this bike is in pieces so it's for the experienced builder (Freak, Ian etc). It's a project I was going to do (and started) but have decided I no longer have the spine for it and wish to move it along. I'll be honest about all the bits that are frot (that I know of):

The good bits:
================
- It's a 1978 R80/7 with spoked wheels. It's not a very common model.
- The bike is complete as far as I can tell.
- No accidents.
- Papers are in order and it's licensed up to date.
- I've already stripped the bike (bad for the less knowledgeable, good for the guru's because that's just work you don't have to do).
- The wheels will be bead blasted, ready for paint or powder coating ot whatever.
- Splines still look good on the final drive

- These are the items I have just received from Volker:
   1xCV boot and clamps R300
   Tank rubber R25
2x Carb elbows with tube R425
   Set carb seals               R268
2x fork boots with clamps 11 ribs          R580
   2x fork seals           R184
   Steering head dust cover     R47
   Front axle nut ss              R32
Front brake pads   R430  (Rear brake shoes are still ok.)
   Air filter R198
   Carb clip R25
   3x seal  R45 (wheel Bearings)
   1x seal  R48 (Wheel bearings)
2 x new SKF steering head bearings
4 x new SKF tapered roller wheel bearings

The bad things
===============
- The barrels need to be resleaved (less favourable option) OR to get new oversized pistons (second oversize is needed).
- The heads need new seats and valves.
- The 1000cc Seibelroc kit will not work on this model without engineering work on the crank cases (not worth the effort in my opinion)
- The rear crank seal is leaking.
- Clutch friction plate measures at about 4.8mm, not too far off replacement time.
- There is a tiny little nut holding the points advance thingy on that is broken off, apparently a common problem.
- It needs accelerator and clutch cables.
- It needs the little bump stops at the end of the forks.

I've spent the following on the bike:
- R4000.00 for the bike
- Fetched bike from Wolmeransstat (about R800.00 fuel)
- R2951.00 on parts from Volker
- R850.00 on bearings
- R300.00 on bead blasting wheels
- R200.00 with Tony to strip an assess heads.
- R1000.00 committed when I get the papers (they're in the post, were posted to me two days ago).

I only want to get my money back to if anyone wants this for R10000.00, it's yours.

If someone is into building these bikes, it's worth it because you could get away with completing this build for probably another 13-15k but then you've got a custom beamer with a whole bunch of new engine bits and bobs.
