Low mileage 2006 BMW 1200 HP2 Enduro in good condition.
Only 25000 Km
Why do I want to sell my HP2?
I love my HP2 it is iconic and rare, but I have realized that it is not the bike I need for my type of riding, I prefer to do overland trips where a GSA 1200 is more suitable. It is possible to modify the HP2 and make it the perfect overland bike but it will take a lot of expensive changes, and I don’t see the point of making a GS out of an HP2. It is much too special to do that to it.
I am the third owner, first owner did 9000km, second owner did another 9000km, fitted Akrapovic exhaust and Ohlins suspension, which he removed and sold separately when I purchased the bike from him at 18000km. He did not ride the bike much, as he had several other bikes. The original suspension and exhaust was fitted before I bought the bike, so at present the suspension has only done 12000km.
I have owned the bike for 5 months and used the bike from 18000Km to 24900 Km, mainly road (one trip to Botswana on tar) and a couple of dirt trips.
The Bike is in good condition and was well looked after; it has a complete service history from new with BMW. It is probably one of the lowest mileage HP2’s in the country, 25000 KM (almost new for a BMW ). Tyres are brand new Mitas E-O7 just fitted.
Extra’s fitted on the bike
-Crash Bar
-Hyde protection covers
-Head light protection TT type
-Polisport hand guards
-Touratech handles bar risers
-Fork protection (socks)
Up dated parts included
-K&N air filter used in conjunction with UNI prefilter
-Custom aluminium number plate bracket (lighter and much stronger than original part)
-Custom side stand steel bracket (the original HP2 in aluminium bracket bends, This is a compulsory expensive modification that has to be done on any HP2)
-Bash plate with rubber modification (also a very important modification for a better protection of the engine)
Extra parts not fitted to the bike:
- 6l under seat auxiliary fuel tank
-Set of used side panels
-A front mud guard (cracked at the back but possible to fix and use for off road riding)
If I could afford to keep it and buy a GS on the side I would, this bike is a collectable bike and it’s value will increase with time. HP2’s in similar condition are already selling for 12000 euro in Europe.
