I am taking the advice of a wise friend... Since I have purchased a new bike, rather than leave my faithful 525 to gather cobwebs I am making her available for another adventurous, fun-seeking home.
Details:
2007 KTM525XC Desert Racing... The rarer XC has a close ratio gearbox, comes fully street legal from the factory (so no patching things together), and has some different internals (harder components for longevity - or so I believe).
Standard 14 liter tank.
She's never been raced... Only weekend use - more D/S type riding.
Done about 13k kms. Fully service history with KTM Cape Town... Never had one problem (only replaced the side stand).
Service intervals:
1. Every 1000 - 1500km oil change & clean air filter. (quick and easy - takes 20 minutes)
2. Every 2000 - 3000km oil change, air filter clean, replace oil filters, and check valve clearance. (usually about R2k-3k with dealer)
In beautiful condition. Just serviced, and installed new rubber.
Extras:
Uprated suspension internals... perfect for someone between 80 - 100kg.
Trail bag for your emergency tools or a spare tube etc - from Dirtgear USA
